Digital Membership Cards FAQ

The 91Porn Alumni Association (NEIUAA) continues to look for ways to improve your alumni experience. We are delighted to introduce a quick and easy way to directly access your Member ID card from your smart device. To help you with this exciting new member feature, please find some frequently asked questions below.

What are digital membership cards?

In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, reduce administrative costs, and provide innovative alumni experiences, the 91Porn Alumni Association now provides alumni with membership cards that can be downloaded to your smart device. Going digital means you never have to worry about forgetting your membership card! In addition, a listing of your benefits, special benefit codes and offers, and members-only events are regularly updated and available on the back of your membership card.

How do I add the membership card to my iPhone?

Access the digital membership email from your smartphone and click the “Download” button, then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add.” The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in the iPhone wallet at any time.

How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?

Android users need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the digital membership email from your smartphone and click “Download”. The card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

My name is spelled wrong/membership level is incorrect.

Please contact the NEIU Alumni Association at alumni@neiu.edu to update your membership records.
I have a Blue & Gold Family, Golden Eagle, or Lifetime membership with my spouse/partner/children.

I have a Blue & Gold Family, Golden Eagle, or Lifetime membership with my spouse/partner/children. How can additional members receive their digital membership card?

Each individual will receive their own membership email. If your spouse/partner/child did not receive a membership email, please contact alumni@neiu.edu

I downloaded my card but I cannot find it.

If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there—it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

I did not receive an email with information about my digital membership card. Does this mean that I do not have a verified primary email address?

There are many reasons for why you may not have received your digital membership card. Please reach out to the NEIU Alumni Association at alumni@neiu.edu with your full name, year of graduation, and updated primary email address, and we will work with you to verify your NEIUAA membership.

If you recently created a new electronic mail account (i.e., Google, Yahoo!, AOL, Outlook, iCloud), please update your contact information via our online form.

How do I view the benefits information on the back of the card?

To access the back of your digital membership card, please follow the steps below:

Apple users:

  1. Open your Digital Membership Card.
  2. Tap on the three dots icon at the top right of the card. If you don’t see this icon, make sure you are not accessing the card from your lock screen.

Android users: Wallet Passes App

  1. Open your Digital Membership Card.
  2. Tap on the "i" icon at the bottom right of the card.

GPay: This format does not offer a back of the card. Instead, you will be able to see all the content on one side, by scrolling down to see additional information.

I’m having technical difficulties downloading my card. Whom should I contact?

Our digital membership cards are powered by our partners at Cuseum. If you’re experiencing any kind of technical difficulty with the card (i.e., if you’re unable to download or add it to your mobile device for any reason), please email support@cuseum.com with as much information about the problem as possible, and Cuseum will respond directly.

I do not wish to have a digital membership card.

Did you know that you can also download a PDF of your membership card to print from home? Access your membership card from your smartphone or desktop email and click the “Download” button. This will generate a PDF of your digital membership card to print from home!

If you still choose to receive a mailed copy of your digital membership card, upon annual renewal, you may contact alumni@neiu.edu or by calling (773) 442-4211 to request a copy of your card. Please note, the digital membership cards are shipped via USPS mail and may take up to 3 weeks to receive from the date of your renewal.

I have a question about my member benefits.

You can find a list of benefits associated with your specific membership level on the back of the digital card by clicking the small “i” in the lower right corner (Android), or three dots in the upper right-hand corner (iPhone), when the card is open in your digital wallet. If you have additional questions about your benefits, please contact alumni@neiu.edu.

Alumni Q&A with Ajoyi Stackhouse /alumni-qa-ajoyi-stackhouse Alumni Q&A with Ajoyi Stackhouse Damaris Tapia Tue, 09/15/2020 - 15:55

Ajoyi Stackhouse (B.A. '15) has played at various bars and venues around the world. She has played locally at Navy Pier, The Promontory, Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel, Simone’s Bar, Festival Cubano, and at the DMC World DJ Championships, Riu Hotel in Ocho Rios Jamaica, Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia, and Club B.S. in Yokosuka Japan. DJ Stack takes listeners on a musical journey transcending genres and time. She graduated from Northeastern in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Communication, Media and Theatre.

When asked to DJ at this year’s NEIU Weekend program, she did not hesitate to respond. She is as passionate about NEIU as she is about music. Learn more about what inspired her to become a disc jockey and more.

to see her perform live during NEIU Weekend 2020 at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18.

Alumni Q&A with Ajoyi Stackhouse

In what ways do you feel NEIU has unlocked your potential and helped to shape your life experience and/or career?

NEIU has provided me with an extensive understanding of communication media, which has allowed me to perform at a wide range of events across the country and around the world.

When did you start as a disc jockey? What motivated you to start?

I started as a disc jockey in 2009. A friend suggested I start DJing since I was always the go-to person for music.

Before now, had you performed at NEIU? If so, when?

Yes, I started performing at NEIU on the "Roger that with Mo Information” podcast in 2012. Over the years, I’ve also been privileged enough to DJ several Black Caucus and Pedroso Center events.

What experience do you think your audience has after watching you perform?

I hope that this performance will be an uplifting journey through music.

Describe a moment in your life where you were challenged and how did you overcome this adversity? How did this adversity impact your life?

Transitioning from the military to a full-time student proved to be a big challenge. I overcame it by keeping a positive mindset. This experience impacted my life greatly and contributed to building my self-confidence.

Of these words - proud, resilient, supportive, multicultural, creative - which resonates with you and why?

The word “resilient” resonates with me because if this year has taught me anything it's that we are not in control. It’s essential for us to be flexible and strong beings.

If you could go back in time to when you were a student at NEIU, what advice would you give yourself?

If I could go back in time and give myself advise as a student, I would say “Explore the topics and subjects that interest you, and don’t be afraid to really dive in.”

What do you think is most special about NEIU?

What's special about NEIU is its diversity, and the relationships between the faculty and students.

Students who benefit from the NEIUAA Internship Scholarship

Cecilia Hernandez, NEIUAA Internship Scholarship recipient

For Hernandez, the NEIUAA Internship Scholarship is a great help in paying educational expenses.

"It is support from people like you (internship scholarship donors) who inspire me to give back to the community because I would not be where I am with you!"

Justine Heredia, NEIUAA Internship Scholarship recipient

For Heredia, the NEIUAA Internship Scholarship supports her dream of becoming a librarian.

"Growing up I never thought I was smart enough or good enough and felt my teachers thought this as well. Then I came to NEIU and everything changed. I was at a place that challenged me to be the best I could be while surrounded by professors that wanted to me to succeed. The teachers here opened my eyes to a love of learning that I had not previously had."

Gina Ridge, NEIUAA Internship Scholarship recipient

For Ridge, the NEIUAA Internship Scholarship brings her one step closer to achieving her dream as a future educator.

When I went back to school at the age of 25, I was determined to achieve the impossible; I would not be held back. What I have experienced at NEIU has been more of a blessing than I can begin to explain. Being a full-time student and working isn’t easy at all and requires that constant ‘go-go-go!’ That being said, from the moment I began receiving financial support from NEIU I was at a loss for words and I still am.

Rachel Hall, NEIUAA Internship Scholarship recipient

For Hall, the NEIUAA Internship Scholarship is one of four scholarships she’s earned at the University in the past year.

We need to empower African-American youths to do everything,” she said. “You can become a teacher, you can do robotics. If children are empowered and educated, they can do anything. I hope my story will encourage othersIf I can’t be anything else, let me be an example that you can do this.
