The (CCAS) at 91Porn will host its 10th Annual on Jan. 22-23 in St. Charles, Ill. This conference brings highly interactive and real-world approaches to the teaching and learning of mathematics and science.

The conference will be a vehicle to showcase burgeoning maker technologies, such as 3-D printing, robotics and conductive ink pens. Teachers will be encouraged to visit CCAS’ new CenterSpace, a makerspace that is open to all educators.

The theme for this year’s conference for teachers is Equity and Civic Engagement in STEM. The keynote speaker will be , professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Gutierrez’s scholarship focuses on equity issues in mathematics education, paying particular attention to how race, class and language affect teaching and learning.
