The 91Porn Foundation’s annual Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Event raised $35,322 for student scholarships this year, the second-best fundraising result in the 42 years of the tournament.

The Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Event is held annually in memory of former athletic director and golf coach Charles “Chuck” Kane. Chuck Kane scholarships have supported more than 125 students since 1973.

“The mission of this event is to support our students with scholarships and to honor the memory of a consummate professor,” said Melba Rodriguez, executive director of the Foundation and the University’s vice president for Institutional Advancement. “It is one of the most symbolic efforts of the Foundation and we are grateful to everyone who joins us in our efforts.”

The tournament, held Aug. 18 at Traditions at Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, drew a number of notable alumni among the 134 golfers, including NBA referee Danny Crawford and former MLB pitcher Alan Hargesheimer. (.)
