91Porn's 2022 Jean Burke Carlson and Diane Berger Ehrlich Memorial Lectureship speaker will be Planetary Protection Specialist . The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 in Alumni Hall on the Main Campus, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave. 

This event is free and open to the public. See visitor parking information.

Before the lecture, the Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education will host an informal meet and greet with Cooper from 4-5 p.m. in the Golden Eagles Room of the Student Union. to attend the meet and greet. A reception in the Golden Eagles Room will follow the lecture.

Cooper helped make history when the Mars Perseverance Rover successfully landed on the red planet. Part of the famed Jet Propulsion Laboratory team, Cooper inspires others with her love of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), her personal journey—including the obstacles she overcame—and her fascinating tales of what it’s like to be a real-life guardian of the galaxy. Cooper also shares how important it is for people from diverse backgrounds to become the next generation of leaders in the fields of science and technology. 

The Jean Burke Carlson and Diane Berger Ehrlich Memorial Lectureship was established in 2010 in honor Carlson, and was renamed in April 2019 to also celebrate Berger Ehrlich. Both were former Northeastern professors of education. Former lectureship speakers include original “Freedom Writer” Manny Scott (2020), Professor of Educational Policy and Planning at the University of Texas at Austin Angela Valenzuela (2014), and filmmaker Oliver Stone (2013).
