It is recommended that you use the most recent/up-to-date version of web browsers Chrome or Firefox. If you encounter technical issues, first make sure that you have allowed cookies for D2L and disabled any popup blockers.

I WAS HIRED AFTER october 28, 2024. DO I STILL HAVE TO TAKE THE ONLINE TRAINING?

Yes. If you started working as an employee after the official 2024 online training period began, you are expected to complete the online training by November 25, 2024.

I COMPLETED A NEW HIRE ETHICS TRAINING at neiu this year. DO I STILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE ETHICS TRAINING?

Yes, you must complete both the new hire training and the Annual Ethics Training. The  requires University employees to complete certain requirements within 30 days of the start of employment. It also requires that all employees annually complete the Ethics Training. 

I AM CURRENTLY ON LEAVE FROM THE UNIVERSITY. DO I STILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE TRAINING by november 25?

If your current employment status is anything other than "Active", then you are not required to complete the training by the November 25, 2024 deadline. Once you return from leave, you will be required to complete the training. Please contact the NEIU Ethics Officer upon return.

I COMPLETED the ETHICS TRAINING. DO I NEED TO send the certificate to the ethics office?

No. You do not need to send a copy of the certificate to the NEIU Ethics Office.

I completed the same ethics training AT ANOTHER illinois PUBLIC COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITy. CAN I GET CREDIT FOR THat TRAINING AT NEIU?

Yes. Please contact the NEIU Ethics Officer and provide your confirmation certification.
