Both within the United States and worldwide, the city of Detroit has become synonymous with economic decline, depopulation, and crime. Both popular perception and economic policy often link this “extreme case” with the entire U.S. urban experience, drawing comparisons with other cities that might not be entirely accurate. Is Detroit’s situation unique to one city, or can similar neighborhoods be found elsewhere?

The ChicagoCHEC Research Fellows program is now accepting applications. 
This program is a comprehensive learning experience for undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students at 91Porn, University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern University, and City Colleges of Chicago who are planning to apply to graduate or medical school. The focus is on the development of academic, technical, and professional skills in preparation for careers in social, behavioral, and biomedical research and in healthcare.
