Addison Lecture

DR. KENNETH N. ADDISON LECTURE FOR MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION and SOCIAL JUSTICE

The Dr. Kenneth N. Addison Lecture for Multicultural Education and Social Justice is an annual event sponsored by the Educational Foundations program, with support from other programs, departments, and units throughout the University. The lecture celebrates and grapples with the intersections of cultural pluralism, multicultural education, social justice, advocacy and activism.

The 2024 Kenneth N. Addison Lecture for Social Justice is entitled "The Chicago Area Arab American Youth In Action: Challenges and Radical Features." Please join MACTL alum and Illinois educator, Maryam Sultan, in conversation with Rania Salem (United States Palestinian Community Network USPCN), Nicole Nguyen (University of Illinois Chicago), and movement attorney Jinan Chehade, and learn about Arab American youth organizing in the Chicago area.
