Introduction

The Forensic Accounting minor prepares students with accounting and auditing knowledge, and legal and investigative skills. Forensic accounting explores fraud prevention and detection within business practices.

Students in the minor use tools and best practices to understand and interpret financial statements to identify fraudulent behavior. Students also examine types of account fraud, criminal conduct and ethical concepts to build on foundational skills.

The Forensic Accounting minor complements a variety of bachelor’s degrees, such as Finance, Management, and Economics.
