11th Annual Conference on Genocide and Human Rights in Africa and the Diaspora
Save the date! The Center for Genocide and Human Rights Research in Africa and the Diaspora (GHRAD) will host its 11th annual conference at NEIU from March 5 (the opening ceremony) through March 7, 2025. While the conference will cover many genocide-related issues, it will focus especially on the post-genocide processes of communal regeneration and social transformation.
The conference is free and open to everyone. It is a hybrid event: You can attend in person or register using the link below to receive a Zoom link to participate remotely.
The GHRAD Center is also excited to invite you to the Echoes of Silence: Resilience and Reflection Photography Exhibit. Featuring new portraits and stories from the 1972 genocide, this exhibit explores resilience, memory, and the role of art in historical justice. We hold the Photo Exhibit's opening ceremony at Ronald Williams Library, on March 5th at 7:00 p.m. Please join us on this special occasion.
