BLACK HERITAGE MONTH: COMEDY NIGHT with Chris James

7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 

The Northeastern Programming Board (NPB) is hosting a comedy night with Chris James. He is a British African comic whose charming style of comedy includes stories, impressions and characters. Chris recently played Barack Obama in the upcoming feature film "Obamaland." His comedy special and one-man show performances led to sold-out shows in New York City.

SPEED friending: mix & mingle night

4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2

Log in as strangers, log out as friends! Think of it like speed dating, but without all that romantic nonsense. Speed friending is the fastest way to make a friend by finding common ground, story swapping, and maybe a quiz or two (don't worry, we won't be giving out grades). It's all fun and games until someone makes a friend.

womxn's HERSTORY MONTH: SEXPERT BINGO

6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25

Let’s Talk about Sex! A hilarious, honest, no-holds-barred approach to sexuality education. With each bingo ball comes a topic or term to be discussed. Participants can virtually mark their boards and follow along at home on Zoom to win prizes. We’ll start by covering a variety of sexuality topics including but not limited to sex, love, healthy relationships, communication and consent, and see where the conversation takes us when students start texting in anonymous questions to be answered live.

APIDA Heritage MONTH: NPB presents SungBeats!

4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13

 

SungBeats, an award-winning beatboxer and live loop extraordinaire from NY who has been developing his craft for over 13 years. Equipped with nothing but a microphone and a loop pedal, he uses only his mouth to create high-energy music through an intricate process of sampling vocal sounds live in real time. Join him for a live performance and beatbox tutorial.
